LARC Echo Link Operation
We now have access to EchoLink thanks to Vincent Randal KCOSZM It is currently on the 440 repeater frequency and the board voted to keep it there. Anyone not having a 440 rig can link the two repeaters so they can come in on the 2 meter side. This also permits us to restrict the EchoLink access if the 2 meter repeater is needed for emergency serv
Since the stations IP address is obtained dynamically (as opposed to a static IP), it may change from time to time and the club's web page would need updating about every 2 months maybe. So if the station seems to be down (not responding to a user web browser), users should send me an email. I will look into it and send you the new IP if it changed. Maybe some variation of this should be added as a "Maintenance" section to in the info below?

Control of the LARC Echolink Station through internet web access (method 1 above) is straightforward: Simply point your browser to the URL provided above (which will change) and log in with username and password provided above. Once you are logged in it is self explanatory how to use it the web page to connect the LARC Echolink station to another Echolink station. How to find Echolink node numbers and call signs: Regardless of the control mechanism used (web, telephone, and eventually DTMF over radio), to connect the LARC Echolink station to a remote Echolink station the user will need to know the call sign or node number of the remote Echolink station. To find the call sign or node number of other Echolink stations, users can go to http://www.echolink.org/links.asp and do a search.
