2007 Sept, 2nd Saturday - Applewood Assisted Living Center

The 2nd Saturday activity for September was to take Shack-in-a-Box to the Applewood Assisted Living Center. Richard and Moral (residents) came out to see and have some fun.

The G5RV was run up the flagpole (the US and Colorado flags were carefully lowered and folded, then returned after we were done). It worked well enough to make contacts in Texas and North Carolina.

Thanks to Doug (KE0SI) for making the arrangements with Applewood. Thanks to Bob (WA2EKU) for insisting that we raise the HF antenna (rather than just do EchoLink to the repeater). Thanks to Ed (KI0RU) for setting up Ham Radio Delux.
