I thought you would like to see how our radio club spent that grant for 150,000 $ we received from F E M A. We bought this new 80 foot mobile emergency communications / light tower with 40 KW power plant. That will run a radio or two. This grant took years and thousands of hours of my time but it paid off in the end. Our tower unit arrived in Cresco about 12 30 today. The factory has told us it is the first one in Iowa ! They also said that there are only 4 other states that have a unit like this one.
