Happy Thanksgiving From the Chapter President

I want to take this opportunity to which all our Amateur Radio family a Happy Thanksgiving.  May you all have a wonderfull time with family and friends enjoying the dinners and fellowship of the season.  

We will not be having our Thursday night net, on Thanksgiving day, so everyone can enjoy the day.  

We want to thank everyone for their support over the year and are thankful that we have this great community of members and friends supporting our hobby and are always there to support others in need.  Thank you everyone.

NCARC Hamfest

Upgrade Your License Before the Holidays!

Register for the General License Preparation Class that begins on Saturday, November 12th!  This class consists of 27 total hours of training, takes a break for the Thanksgiving holiday, and ends in time for you to take your exam at the LARC VE Exam Session on Saturday, December 10th.  

You will be able to use your new HF skills when you take this class, pass your test, and get your new license!  Register on the Education link at the left.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was at the general meeting on September 21st for the annual election of officers.  The following people were elected for the 2016/2017 period: Starr Aldrich N0AES - President, Ron Schwartz K2RAS - Vice President, Pat Engstrom W1PGE - Secretary, Don Lewis KE0EE - Treasurer.  I am looking forward to working with everyone in the upcoming year.  The LARC Board now consists of the 4 above Officers of the club along with:  Jerry Schmidt N0OUW - Past President, Doug Altman KE0SI - Planning Chair, Larry McGimsey AD0TT - Publicity Chair.

TECHFest 2016

The 285 TechConnect Radio Club (NAØTC) is pleased to announce its 2016 Fall TechFest. This will be our 9th TechFest!! It will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Lakewood Elks Club. Topics include: Things in Space, Basic Ham Radio Test Equipment and Techniques, AllStarLink, Summits on the Air (SOTA) and Digital Modes. Lunch hour will have participant demos. Last year’s TechFest was a great success and we feel very strongly that you will both enjoy and get a lot out of this year’s event.

2016 Fall Longmont Cert Class - Training Announced

We are pleased to announce the dates and open registration for the 2016 Fall Longmont CERT class.

Class start on Tuesday, September 20th and last 4 weeks on Tuesday & Thursday from 6pm - 9pm.
